Fire Safety and Detection.Installation, Service and Maintenance

Rosse Systems can cater for all your fire alarm requirements – from completely new systems down to replacing broken glass.

We can work on the majority of systems [Notifier, Hochiki, Hyfire, Advanced, Morley, EMS, Gent, Protec, etc]; therefore your ongoing maintenance and fault calls can be completed to the highest standard.

In addition to being able to supply and support standard Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting Systems, Rosse Systems can also provide a combined Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and Intelligent Signage System.

The system is run from one panel and on the same loop. It enables us to be able to bring on lights in the event of a fire activation and turn off exit signs – directing people away from the fire. Please click on the FIREscape+ link below for further details.

Our Fire Alarm Services

At Rosse Systems we take responsibility for every stage of your fire alarm systems development and implementation including site survey, system design, supply, installation, commissioning, monitoring and ongoing maintenance.

As an NSI-certified and BAFE-registered company, the quality of our service and false alarm management is second to none and all our engineers regularly attend training courses to keep them up to date with the latest standards and technological advancements.

We can supply, install and maintain conventional, addressable, wired, wireless and hybrid systems.

A hybrid system is a combination of both wired and wireless devices. It is ideally suited for hard-to-wire devices or for areas containing Asbestos.

Analogue addressable systems use control panels and detectors (and of course, devices such as interfaces) that communicate with each other through a protocol. These protocols can be open, closed or managed…

  • Open protocol – systems may be worked on by most companies as there tends to be no restriction when testing and inspecting a system. The problem with this type of protocol is that companies that are not fully competent in the system can go into the panel and amend its operation. This can have serious consequences that may not be initially obvious.

  • Closed protocol – systems are manufactured by the same company. The end user is dependent on just one manufacturer for all parts, servicing, modification and upgrades to the system since no other manufacturer’s products will be compatible. If the supplier delivers poor service or increases their prices, you are not free to take your business elsewhere without completely replacing your fire alarm system, a position no consumer would ever want to be in.

  • Managed protocol – systems sit between the other two options. Several independent fire companies usually support them. These companies are in direct competition with each other – which keeps the costs realistic and customer service to a high standard as the end user can move to an alternative company. Manufacturers can ensure that the companies working on their systems are competent by only supplying the protocol to trustworthy fire companies trained by the manufacturer.
